About Akhil Pramanik
Akhil Pramanik is a Philly- and Maryland-based interdisciplinary artist who found a passion for painting in June 2024 and hasn’t looked back since.
What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something more. That summer, he completed several commissioned pieces for colleagues during his internship, bringing color and originality into office spaces. In the fall, he launched an art-based charity initiative at Temple University to support World Central Kitchen, selling prints of his own work alongside art from fellow student artists to raise funds for the cause.
Most recently, Akhil was awarded a scholarship from The Barnes Foundation, giving him the opportunity to attend their classes and workshops and continue growing his artistic practice.
His work is grounded in bold expression, emotional storytelling, and a desire to build community through art.
